Tiktok is the worst source of information ever...like 80% is misinformation and 20% would be certified dermatologists
If your doctor told you it is a spot treatment, even if it was years ago and the formula hasn't changed, it still is a spot treatment. Either way, do your own research and beware of influencers spreading misinformation. What works for someone, might not work for you..

I second it. my doc recommanded me Epiduo on my whole face, but I had severe acne and hiperpigmentation and a tough skin. it is all dependent on you skin type and concerns.

my opinion is it should be applied to affected areas only. that will differ for every person. for some it may be the whole face, for others like me it would be the cheeks and jawline.
the reason spot treatment may not be good enough is that the medicine is being applied to that one spot. it doesn't help prevent new adjacent spots in the same area.

„Apply a thin film of gel evenly over the entire acne affected area(s) once a day, on a clean and dry skin“
I am not sure. For me it does not sound like a specific spot treatment, but also not like something to put on the whole face. More like Vanicream said.
I used it on my face on bigger areas a few years ago as well. Can’t remember any problems.
